Hello my friends, family, and people.  I am called Lauren.  I am of the Zuni Clan (mother's clan), born for the Salt people (father's first clan).  My maternal grandfather's clan is the Folded Arms People and my Paternal grandfather's clan is Red Running Into the Water Clan.  This is how I identify myself as a woman.  I am Dine' or Navajo.  As Navajos we introduce ourselves to tell others where we come from.  

I am from the Four Corners, New Mexico side. I am the youngest of five children and the aunt of so many nieces and nephews.  I'm the spoiled child of the family and I have no shame when admitting it.  My mother and father are the kindest and most gentlest individuals I have ever met in my entire life and they are my true inspiration.  I am married to my cutest husband, Augustine. We got married in October 2024 and I love the life we have built so far. 

I started thinking about opening a business when Kora was born.  She was born in February 2016.  I began sewing fabric hair bows in the middle of 2017 but didn't start selling them until late 2017 on Etsy.  I haven't perfected my style of bows, but I'm getting there.  I love to sew (most of the time) and listen to The Mindy Project in the background.  I've always been a creative person and it's truly therapeutic for me.  

I enjoy doing arts and crafts for and with my nieces.  Luckily I've been blessed with a lot of nieces that like the same girly things that I do.  I also enjoy watching movies, reading, playing games, laughing, going to Disneyland, shopping at Nordstrom, making ant farms (myrmecologist at heart), and hanging out with my family especially nieces and nephews.

"Sew Nizhoni" is part Navajo.  Nizhoni in Navajo means, "good, beautiful." Pronounced Ni-zho-knee.
